The Race

Myself, my dad, Mo, Dan and Sizer are in a footrace race. We are racing as a team. Last year, we did this same race with the women in our life and it took 2.5 hours to complete. It's a long race. It's a staggered timed race so we start after others have begun. The race track goes to a pole, one runs around the pole and returns to the starting line which is now the finish line. This year us men have decided to run the race without the women. We complete the race in 20 minutes. We are astounded. We're not sure how we ran so much faster this year. We ran the exact same course as the year before. As we stand around the finish line talking to other racers, we try to explain how much better we did compared to last year. And then I woke up.

ok so the other night i had this dream: i was walking through some bleachers at a sports arena. not sure what sport was being played, but i think it was basketball because several rows up from where I was walking, I saw a group of girls with sporty type attire. i say basketball because a friend of mine from high school who played basketball was sitting with the team, as if she was part of it. i am also carrying a baby as i am walking. i am very animate about the fact that that baby is not mine. as i walk, i pass anna (a-word) who is sitting up in the bleachers. she gives me this weird look like "why do you have a baby?!" i continue walking and never end up sitting before waking up. the other strange thing was that the baby was little, no older than two years old and could talk clearly and rationally. like i was carrying on a conversation with this two year old baby as if it were one of my peers. totally random bc a-word and i aren't really friends (tho she does work with me), i haven't spoken to that high school friend in years and while i love children, i'm nowhere close to being ready to have one of my own.
